Genova Technologies is a recognized, innovative leader in Information Technology. Below are a few of the distinguished awards the company and its CEO, Dawn Ainger, have earned.
- Genova has been recognized by Rockwell Collins as one of their “Top Preferred Suppliers” in the past several years for their contribution and teamwork in support of the Rockwell Collins vision to be the world's most trusted source of communication and aviation electronic solutions.
- Ms. Ainger was recognized as Rockwell Collins' Women-Owned Small Business of the Year award in 2004. She was selected from a pool of over 800 woman-owned small businesses partnered with Rockwell Collins.
- The U.S. Chamber of Commerce awarded Genova with its Blue Ribbon Small Business award in 2011. The award recognizes businesses for their role in economic growth and honors their commitment to their employees, customers, and community.
- The Corridor Business Journal recognized Genova as Honoree for the “2008 Fastest Growing Company” award.
- In 2008, Ms. Ainger was chosen as a finalist in the Small Business Innovation & Leadership category for the 2008 Women of Innovation Award where she was recognized as a continuing award-winning, innovative, visionary leader.
- Ms. Ainger was awarded 2007 Woman in Technology of the Year award by the Technology Association of Iowa.
- Genova earned the state of Iowa's DaVinci Award for engineering excellence in 2002.
The Genova Technologies team and its CEO, Dawn Ainger, are actively involved in community and technology associations. Giving back to the community is important to everyone at Genova and is demonstrated by the following:
Disabled American Veterans
Genova provides wireless laptops, gift baskets and employee time to help veterans who are in the hospital over the holidays, enjoy their stay a little more. Genova is currently working with the Veterans Administration to expand this program so that laptops would be available throughout the year.

Technology Association of Iowa
Ms. Ainger serves as Board member. The association works towards growing the technology industry in the Midwest. Ms. Ainger presents multiple classes to educators on recruiting students to math and science.
Women in Technology
Genova serves as a sponsor and Ms. Ainger actively participates in the promotion and selection of this honor. This award is part of the Technology Association of Iowa and celebrates women in science and technology jobs.
IT Adventures
Genova donates employee time to help high school students, interested in technology, protect a network from cyber attacks. A statewide competition is held where the high schools across the state of Iowa try to break into each other's networks.
Multiple Sclerosis Society
Genova donates time to help MS victims get to doctors appointments, go the park, get to the grocery store, etc. Genova has also donated used wireless laptops to MS victims, along with digital converters for their televisions.
Cedar Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce
CEO, Dawn Ainger, is on the Board and participates in multiple fundraising activities and legislative efforts for the Chamber of Commerce.
American Cancer Society
Breast Cancer Awareness: Genova has sponsored prizes and teams to participate in area fund raising drives.
President, Defense & Commercial Systems, Scott Stimart, is actively engaged in the fund raising efforts for the Linn County American Cancer Society. As part of the sponsorship committee, Mr. Stimart contacts local business to raise awareness, support and funding for the annual ACS Gala.
HACAP
This is a local charity that provides Christmas gifts and dinner to a family in need. Genova employees have supported at least one family over the last several years.
