Dawn Ainger

Since starting at Genova in 1996, Dawn blazed a trail from Senior Software Engineer specializing in software development to just two years later assuming the responsibility of Genova’s Engineering and Operations Manager. Continuing to lead the way, in 2001 she took ownership of Genova Technologies and began serving as CEO.

Dawn holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of Iowa, and graduated with Highest Distinction. Since joining Genova, Dawn has given numerous presentations for IEEE, PMI, and appeared at other industry conferences. She has also taught several classes on Java, C++, XML, Web Development, UML and other IT technologies. Dawn serves on the Board of Directors of National Defense Industry Association (NDIA) and is a member of Women in Defense (WID), IowAccess Advisory Council, Iowa Information Technology Council, Technology Association of Iowa Board, IEEE - Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, Iowa Software Association, Project Management Institute, and AFCEA.

Winner of the 2007 Woman in Technology of the Year award, Dawn is continually praised for her engaging leadership style and management skills, and credited with promoting a work environment that has fostered the company’s recent successes.

With her most famous line, “Attitude, aptitude, and integrity,” Dawn is forging a path for Genova Technologies for years to come.
