Communication Industry
Genova’s experience in the Communications services industry started in 2000 with the development of a Wireless LAN Manager for an onboard avionics information network. Still supporting development of Wireless LAN Manager, our experience has expanded to include development efforts for Software Defined Radios (SDR), wireless communication for military ground vehicles and aircraft, GPS/Mobile mapping systems, and other military, avionics and transportation communications software systems.
Our efforts include:
Wireless LAN Manager
Wireless LAN Manager provides international transportation customers and air crew with a unique system that supplies in-flight wireless access to information onboard a server on the aircraft as well as information available on the Internet. Using the system’s wireless LAN, these applications exchange data between the aircraft and the airline’s network at the airport. These systems also allow passengers to access the internet while in flight.
Software Communications Architecture
Software Communications Architecture (SCA) has been declared the software architecture to conform to for all future waveform development on Software Defined Radios (SDR), in particular Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS). Genova has worked on projects involving Tactical Targeting Network Technology (TTNT) waveform development and SCA Bypass for Software Defined Radios (SDR).
Multifunctional On-The Move Secure Adaptive Integrated Communication
Development and field testing of Multifunctional on-the Move Secure Adaptive Integrated Communication (MOSIAC) for end to end communication services across mobile ad-hoc networks for advanced military radios.
Mobile Mapping Systems
Development of GPS/Mobile mapping systems applications that monitor and display messages from mobile units including their current location, the unit’s movements and other critical positioning data.
Military Aircraft Systems
Development of flight management, guidance and communications systems for both military and commercial aircraft, as well as the display and management of primary flight data and situational awareness for military rotor wing aircraft.
