Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance

President Scott Stimart serves on the Economic Development Innovation Council of the Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance. This council is assembled 6 times a year to review and advise on local and regional business issues.

Women in Technology Award

Genova serves as a sponsor, and Chairman and CEO Dawn Ainger actively participate in the promotion and selection of this honor. This award is part of the Technology Association of Iowa and celebrates women in science and technology jobs.

IT Adventures

Genova donates employee time to help high school students interested in technology protect a network from cyber-attacks. A statewide competition is held where the high schools across the state of Iowa try to break into each other’s networks.

Multiple Sclerosis Society

Genova donates time to help MS victims get to doctors’ appointments or the park or grocery store. Genova has also donated used wireless laptops to MS victims, along with digital converters for their televisions.

American Cancer Society

Genova has sponsored prizes and teams to participate in area fundraising drives for breast cancer awareness.

President Scott Stimart is actively engaged in fundraising efforts for the Linn County American Cancer Society. As part of the sponsorship committee, Mr. Stimart contacts local businesses to raise awareness, support, and funding for the annual ACS Gala.

Waypoint Wonderland

Waypoint Wonderland provides holiday gifts to families served at Waypoint who are experiencing homelessness, poverty or domestic violence.

Homeless Heroes Drive

In 2015, Genova Technologies donated to the Homeless Heroes Drive, sponsored by the VA Outreach Center in Cedar Rapids.

Cedar Valley Humane Society

Genova donates time to the Cedar Valley Humane Society. Each month, IT Analyst Dave Cork volunteers an afternoon to pick up a dog from the Humane Society and then takes that pet to a local care center, where the residents can interact with the dog.

Engineer Steve P is a volunteer soccer coach and referee for American Youth Soccer Organization.

Vistage

President Scott Stimart is a founding member of the Cedar Rapids Vistage group. Vistage is a nationwide organization, established in 1957 with of purpose of bringing together executives to provide a forum to help improve their business and the business of the other members. The group meets monthly to solve business problems, evaluate opportunities and work on an assortment of strategic and operational issues.
