• Assisted with systems and software design documents
• Delivered avionics testing support and documentation
• Provided program liaison support to allies

Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Div. Keyport, WA; NAS Pensacola, FL

Documentation, data management, and process improvement

Genova has delivered technical documentation and process improvement for NUWC Division Keyport Code 40 as a subcontractor. Genova has:
• Updated workflows and processes from original documents into the current system
• Updated style guides to conform with current and future business model demands
• Delivered data manipulation and data transfer
• Utilized agile processes

Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Div. Keyport, WA

Software development of combat systems

As a subcontractor, Genova has provided software engineering services for combat systems that support Undersea Warfare and Surface Warfare missions of the Aircraft Carrier (CVN). The latest variant of the system, the AN/SQQ-34C(V)2, began fielding on Carriers in 2012 and provides support for the MH-60R multi-mission helicopter, enabling the exchange of tactical and sensor data between the CVN and the MH-60R. The system consists of COTS processing, display, and communications equipment. Under this contract, Genova has:
• Gathered requirements
• Designed software & developed software
• Tested software
• Utilized agile software development processes

US Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA)

Design and development of a tactical waveform prototype

For over a decade, Genova Technologies has supported a DARPA program intended to demonstrate a tactical airborne network that performs dynamic awareness, has multiple levels of security, and low latency data rates. The waveform has since been deployed in the field. As a subcontractor, Genova:
• Researched requirements for passing SCA and JTRS certifications and provided level of effort estimates
• Delivered software design and development of a SCA compliant version of the waveform
• Integrated software onto a Linux-based system
• Developed test applications required to test waveform
• Assisted with software verification

US Strategic Command (STRATCOM) Offutt Air Force Base

.Net application development

U.S. Strategic Command had a software project that required short-term, quick-turn software engineering support. The project operated on a small but nimble budget to execute the mission, and was staffed by DoD and civilian employees with contractor support. In order to meet contract deliverables before the period of performance ended, Genova:
• Developed C# software applications
• Verified and documented existing processes, web design, data, and source code
• Performed software bug fixes
• Provided new feature development and enhancements
• Gathered requirements

Naval Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Puget Sound

Migration of an Oracle based application

The Priority Material Office (PMO) required program support services that included the migration of an Oracle based application to an ASP.NET web application. The new system needed to be web-centric and include enterprise architecture and systems design for integration with current Department of the Navy (DON) information technology standards. As a prime contractor, Genova:
• Converted the Oracle based application including forms, and reports, into an ASP .NET web application
• Documented the system for both technical personnel and users
• Programmed the enterprise solution and related applications, complying with Navy enterprise architecture standards

CASE STUDIES

TTNT: Avionics & Government Case Study

Genova Technologies supported a DARPA program to demonstrate a tactical airborne network. A few main goals of the demonstration were to perform dynamic awareness, multiple levels of security, and low latency data rates. Later in the prototype lifecycle, the tactical airborne waveform was ported to a Software Common Architecture (SCA) waveform and deployed for use.

STRATCOM: Government & IT/Data Case Study

U.S. Strategic Command had a software project that was in need of engineering support. The project operated on a small but nimble budget to execute the mission, and was staffed by DoD and civilian employees with contractor support and was in need of additional engineering assistance to meet contract deliverables before the end of the period of performance. The project relied upon many web based technologies, such as .NET (C#), ASP.NET, HTML, JavaScript and jQuery. Not only were engineers required to be familiar with the front-end technologies in use by the project, but they were required to hit the ground running and make an immediate contribution by quickly integrating into the team by use of its support tools, Jira for ticket management and Oracle for the relational database.

PMO Support (FISCPS Bremerton)

Under this contract, Genova performs Oracle database administration, compiles reports, collects and converts data, and designs and maintains web applications. Primary program support work involves the migration of an Oracle-based application to an ASP.NET web application, using web services.

CV-TSC: GOVERNMENT CASE STUDY

The CV-TSC system provides increased situational awareness to the Carrier Strike Group (CSG) in support of shipboard self-defense, primarily in the area of Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) and Surface Warfare (SUW) on an Aircraft Carrier. As an integrated element of the CVN Combat System, CV-TSC supports the tactical deployment of embarked ASW and SUW assets utilized in detecting, classifying, and localizing threats. The primary aircraft supported is the MH-60R multi-mission helicopter.
