With over two decades of software engineering and Information Technology (IT) consulting experience, Dawn Ainger leads Genova Technologies as its Chairman and CEO. Under Ms. Ainger’s guidance, Genova Technologies has become a leading provider of custom software development and project engineering for Federal government agencies, healthcare entities and Fortune 500 companies.

After she took the helm as owner of the company in 2001, her efforts led to a dramatic expansion of the company’s success in both the defense and healthcare sectors.

Ms. Ainger holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Computer Science from the University of Iowa, and graduated with Highest Distinction. It is with this foundation of excellence that she has built a reputation in the IT industry as a strong leader, directing Genova to employ award-winning requirements gathering and analysis to ensure a deep understanding of clients’ needs and business goals.

A trusted IT expert, Ainger has given numerous presentations for IEEE and PMI, and has appeared at numerous industry conferences. Ms. Ainger has been the recipient of numerous industry awards. She also serves on the Board of Directors of National Defense Industry Association (NDIA), IowAccess Advisory Council, Iowa Information Technology Council, Technology Association of Iowa Board, eHealth Advisory Council, Cedar Rapids, the Iowa Chamber of Commerce, and is a member of Women in Defense (WID) and The Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA).

Bruce Kloster is the Chief Technical Officer at Genova Technologies. Bruce has over 40 years of experience in software engineering, software development, systems engineering, engineering leadership and program management. At Genova, Bruce is responsible for leading the effort into the investigation of applying software to open new strategic business areas. In Bruce’s previous positions he led the team that increased the sales and order performance by over 500% in 5 years. The program growth was all in advanced technology demonstration programs where the quality and innovation of the technology as well as the precision of the execution were factored into the award selection. Bruce has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in engineering from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. 

John Klein joined Genova Technologies March of 2004 as a Software Engineer and now leads our team as Genova’s Senior Engineering Manager. He has over fourteen years of experience in development of software systems for both commercial and defense programs. John Klein is a certified Project Management Professional through PMI and Scrum Master through Scrum Alliance with degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. 

As the Engineering Director at Genova Technologies, John Klein is the focal point with Recruiting, Business Development, and Engineering to balance resource needs with project needs. In addition, John Klein monitors and mentors engineering project leads to fulfill customer needs. 

 

Mike Ainger has been an integral part of Genova’s recruiting team for over 6 years. Mike spends half the year working out of our Cedar Rapids office and the other half in Phoenix, Arizona. He studied Journalism at the University of Iowa and is an avid collector of World War II memorabilia. Mike enjoys the hunt of finding highly skilled candidates for tough to fill roles. Prior to joining Genova, Mike worked in distribution and radio for 15 years. If not spending time golfing or with family, you can find Mike volunteering for one of the many causes near and dear to his heart or watching Galdiator movies. 

David Taylor has over thirty years of financial experience ranging from positions such as Controller to Business Consultant. David helped lead many companies to significantly increase their profitability, efficiency, and net worth. This wide array of financial experience makes David Taylor the ideal person to lead the Genova accounting team. 

Genova’s accounting has the mission of providing customers and employees with accurate and timely financial information. The accounting team helps Genova fulfill customer needs in an efficient and time-sensitive manner. David and the accounting team help Genova welcome the opportunity to support the development and delivery of customer projects. 

David has a degree in accounting and finance from the University of Iowa.

Katie Lawler has joined Genova Technologies as a Human Resources Specialist. She is an Iowa native and graduated from Patricia Stevens College. Katie has over 30 years of human resources experience as a manager in the manufacturing industry. This experience includes all facets of human resources including benefits, payroll, etc. Katie enjoys the human side of human resources and takes pride in building relationships with employees, coworkers and business contracts.

In her free time, Katie enjoys spending time at the family farm with her husband, kids, grandkids, and family enjoying many indoor and outdoor activities. She has been an advocate for United Way for many years.

Chris Loeffelholz is the Program and Business Director at Genova Technologies.  Chris has over 37 years of experience in program management, business development, and aerospace engineering that covers the entire system life cycle for both government and commercial applications.

Chris began his career as an aerodynamics/flight dynamics engineer on air-ground weapon systems.  He then moved into Program Management in areas that include GPS and navigation multi-sensors, advanced communication systems, communication security, radio technologies, aircraft networks, and publications and system training.  He has led recognized new initiatives in advanced network waveforms, weapon data link, anti-jam advanced navigation, and programmable cryptography.   Chris has also served as an advanced technology Business Development director working on strategic technology plans, evaluating and funding breakthrough technologies, and assessing Intellectual Property value.  He has pursued and captured programs with DARPA, NSA, and the various service labs.

Chris holds a BS degree in Aerospace Engineering from Iowa State University.

Chris is a native Iowan and is married to Kelly with three children: Maggie, Tillie, and Eric.
